Lay down your hatred, lay down your fear,

Lay down your thoughtless pride, 

let your hearts draw near.

Empty your lives of anger, 

empty your words filled with lies,

empty the world of injustice, 

let your heart draw near.

Feel the wind upon your face,

watch a child run and finish a race,

hold a rose and smell its fragrant song.

Watch a sunset and be inspired,

Sing a song and feel its fire,

know life’s holiness and that you belong.

For the fruit of the light is within our sight,

it is all that is good, it is all that is right.

All that is true,

all that is faithful,

all that is kind,

all that is patient.

In this present moment we can know the light.

When we join our voice in communion, 

we can know our Christ.

The past will not be our prison,

the future will not hold us bound.

When we come to this present moment

the light of Love will be found.

and we will Live!

Beholding the kingdom of heaven,

Beholding the kingdom of light, 

Behold all things Love is creating

each of the dams of our lives.

Feeling the wind upon our faces,

watching a child run and finish a race,

holding a rose and smelling its fragrant song.

Watching a sunset and being inspired,

singing a song and feeling its fire,

knowing life’s holiness and that we belong.

That we belong, that we belong here together.  

Here in communion, together.

Raising the cup, breaking the bread of life.

Breaking the bread, that we may live in Love.
